Sonboleekh is a genuine treasure that remained undiscovered by the Arabian horse community the first decade of his life. His name is derived from a combination of two all-time greats in his pedigree; the legendary El Mareekh, who had a brilliant, though brief career as a sire and in the show ring, and Serenity Sonbolah, the National Champion mare on his dam's side. El Mareekh was lost to the world at an early age, and his son, Ibn El Mareekh was left to carry on the legacy. Among his finest foals is Sonboleekh, a virtual replica of his sire in a larger package, standing an impressive 15.3 hands barefoot. The El Mareekh line is well known for type, spirit, conformation, movement and kind dispositions. Serenity Sonbolah has been described as the most beautiful Straight Egyptian mare of all time. The combination of these fine bloodlines gives him 4 lines to Sameh, one of Egypt's greatest stallions. Sonboleekh has the regal personality of a benevolent Egyptian king, proud and flashy as proved by his many wins in liberty; yet gentle and willing in-hand or under saddle. He has also garnered several wins in his limited halter career, is a Most Classic champion and is currently in training for performance. Sonboleekh's greatest asset is his ability to sire beautiful foals that inherit his size, disposition and classic type from mares of various bloodlines.
